Geraldine Smith Geraldine Smith, 81, of Powder Springs, Ga., died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at New Life Baptist Church in Tallahassee, with the Rev. Eric Tinsley and Andy Merritt officiating. Clark Funeral Home (770-445-7133) in Hiram, Ga., is handling arrangements.She was born June 11, 1924, in Tallahassee to Bert and Katie Merritt, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Celeata Williamson and Nan Sallas (and husband Donnie Cochran), both of Powder Springs; a brother, A.J. Merritt of Colquitt, Ga.; a sister, Zoie Wright (and husband Homer) of Bainbridge, Ga.; four grandchildren, April Wetherington of Tallahassee, Robin Miller of Sebring, Chris Sallas of Germany and Nicole Cochran of Powder Springs; and two great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Miller and Madisyn Sallas.
