She was born August 16, 1922 in Webster County and lived her adult life in Springfield.She was preceded in death by her loving son, Rickie Dunn; her husband, Orville Smith; her parents, John and Ella Dunn; a brother, Lester Dunn; and a sister, Ruby Cramer. Geraldine is survived by her nephew, Steve Dunn and his wife Jan of Ozark, whom she loved dearly; Jan's parents, Charlotte and John Beazley; many friends from The Maples; as well as other nieces, nephews and cousins.Geraldine moved to Primrose Place (now Maples) in June 2008 after breaking her hip. Her time there was a blessing to Geraldine and she was a treat to the staff and resident friends she made. She will be remembered and missed for her mischievous smile, tell it like she sees it attitude, stubborn hard-headed nature and twinkling blue eyes.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Maples Care Center Activities Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
