Geraldine Henderson ROCHESTER - Geraldine S. Henderson of 36 Eagle Drive, Rochester, N.H. passed away at home on Friday, July 5th, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Nashua, N.H., January 10th, 1917, Geraldine was the daughter of George and Albina Horton. Raised by her grandmother, in Rochester, N.H. After her grandmothers passing she went to live with her Aunt Edna in Milton, N.H. She had many fond memories of her life in Milton. She met her husband, Clifford, in Milton and on August 26th, 1939 they were married in Farmington, N.H. They remained in Milton living with Aunt Edna and eventually moved to Rochester to live with their daughter, Sandra and son-in-law, Mark. Geraldine was a retired shoe worker, working for Mayberry Shoe for many years. She was a sport enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox. She also enjoyed going to her grandchildren's games. She tried not to miss any of the games, as she was their best cheerleader. Geraldine had a love for animals, Lucy and Twinkle (her cats) will greatly miss her. She was known by many as Wanda, a nickname that was given to her by her family. She also was known as the fudge lady, she could make the best fudge ever. Geraldine had many friends, "The Gals" would meet quite often and have dinner and then finish off with cards. She was the life of the party. In addition to her husband who passed away in 1986 she is predeceased by her three sisters, Barbara, Viola and Gloria. Geraldine is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Burrows and husband, Lloyd, of Acton, Maine and Englewood, Fl. and Sandra Deland and husband, Mark of Rochester, N.H. Also, her five grandchildren, Steven Burrows and wife Karen of Brookfield, N.H., Scott Burrows and fiancé, Sarah, of Newfield, Maine, David Burrows and wife Lisa, of Durham, N.H., Jody Berko and husband, George, of Farmington, N.H., Marcy Cosgrove and husband, Ray, of Raymond, N.H. Great grandchildren, Stephane, Kalee and Ben Burrows, Anna and Grace Burrows, Spencer Deland, Marcus, Jordan and Preston Berko, Courtney and Kylee Gould. She is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Hazel Blaisdell of Rochester, N.H. and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, N.H. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 11.00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather one hour before the service. Burial will follow immediately after the service at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Rochester, N.H.
