Obituary of Geraldine-Ruth Johnson


Geraldine Ruth Johnson of Binghamton Geraldine Ruth Johnson, 82, widow of Theodore Johnson, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Friday, August 24, 2007. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janice; granddaughter, Maura; and sister, Betty Alford. Her son, Joseph James Johnson survives along with his wife, Maureen; and her treasured grandchildren, Joseph Michael, Peter Allen, Joseph Patrick and Kelly Ann; and great-grandson, Logan. She leaves behind sister, Dorothy Heller; brother, Albert Cadwell; several nieces and nephews, including Jim Alford and his extraordinary family. Jerry had a myriad of friends, neighbors and caregivers, including Sue Mills and Pat Smith, who were superlative. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, with Pastor Joanne Lanfear officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 27th, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Floral Park Cemetery. In memory of Jerry, please do a random act of kindness and support her place of worship, the East Side Congregational Church, 282 Robinson Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904.
