Geraldine Horton HAVANA - Geraldine "Dee" Horton, 82, a homemaker, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002. The service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church No. 1 in Climax, Ga., with burial at Conyers Cemetery in Climax. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EST Friday at Madry Memorial Funeral Chapel in Quincy (875-2665).A native of Calvary, Ga., she had lived in Havana for most of her life. She was a former member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher and nursing boards. She later joined Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church No. 1. Survivors include a devoted friend, Sam Reynolds of Havana; three daughters, Geraldine Simmons (and husband James) of Detroit, Clara Mae Dawkins (and husband Willie) of Killeen, Texas, and Bobbie Jean Horton of Havana; four grandchildren, Laterrian D. Bell (and wife Trina) of Detroit, Latonya Chandler and Lashandra Chandler, both of Havana, and Sacrressys Dawkins of Killeen; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Bell and Aleyah Bell, both of Duluth, Ga., and Laterrian D. Bell Jr. of Detroit; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
