Funeral service for Geraldine "Jerrie" Coffey Horton, 89, will be at Curtis and Son North Chapel; Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:00am with the Rev. Rick Deerman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. She passed away March 3, 2014 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Horton; brothers, Hubert Coffey, Roy Coffey, H.D. Coffey Jr.; sisters, Annie Mae Mitchell, Dot Jones, Helen Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Owens (Joe) of Sylacauga; grandson, Stephen Owens (Janice) of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Alison Todd (Billy) of Lineville; 4 great grandchildren, Lauren Owens, Andrew Owens, J.T. Upchurch, Aston Upchurch. Visitation will be at Curtis and Son North Chapel, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 5:30-8:00pm. Pallbearers will be Howard Hill, Willie Matson, Harold Brooks, Billy Todd, Joe Owens, Stephen Owens. Flowers or donations to Mignon Baptist Church Building Fund.
