ANDERSON, Gerald ThomasApril 14, 1938 - October 2, 2016After 78 years on God''s green earth, a rare 2nd generation native Calgarian, Gerald Thomas "Gerry" Anderson, passed away October 2, 2016 to golf the heavenly fairways and fish the tranquil waters. He has left behind his wonderful wife of 53 years, Anita, his daughters Sandi Sykes (Mark), Shelagh Anderson, Barb Fath (Jerry), and his grandchildren Joe and Hannah Sykes, Piper Anderson and Kimmie Fath. He is also survived by his sister Janice Reeves, sister- in-law Renate Klahr-Butter (Michael), a niece and four nephews. Professionally, Gerry spent over 40 years in Alberta''s Oil and Gas Fracing Services sector, from Eskimo to Canadian Fracmaster. Fun was had as a founding member of the Stampede Model Airplane Club and as one of the original 500 at Pinebrook Golf and Country Club. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed family vacations on the Shuswap and adventures up the North Saskatchewan River in his jet boat. Heartfelt thanks to Gerry''s best buddy Ken Zaremba who was always up for anything, be it a trip to the barber or lunch on Fridays. Thank you also to Marj, Cathy, the wonderful volunteers and friends at the Living with Cancer support group for their kindness and lively lunch conversations.
