WILLIAMS Gerald Lee Williams, 73, of Jacksonville passed away November 8, 2011. A native and life long resident of Jacksonville he was a retired diesel mechanic, having worked mostly on semi trucks. He was a member of West Jacksonville Primitive Baptist Church, and had been an active member of Hyde Park Masonic Lodge #370 F&A.M. and had served his country in the U.S. Navy and was predeceased by his wife of 33 years Evelyn, and a brother Roger Williams. Survivors include his 2 daughters Renee Shapiro (Jeff), Suzette Nettles (John), 1 son Scott B. Williams Sr. (Cindy), 2 sisters Alice McElhenney, Mary Jo Lee (Danny), 2 brothers Stanley Williams (Joy), Steven Williams (Barbara), 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P. M. Thursday (TODAY) at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 where funeral services will be held 1 P. M.
