Georgia Christine Smith Hall, 85, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008, following an extended illness. Christine was born in Walnut Grove, Mo., the daughter of John Wheeler and Leola Pursley Smith, on July 23, 1923, grew up in the area, and graduated from Walnut Grove High School. She was a longtime resident of the Tulsa, Okla. area, where she was employed with Tulsa Public Schools and Clarke's Good Clothes. She was a member of Garnett Road Baptist Church. Christine and Charles Richard Hall were united in marriage in 1946. To this union two sons were born. They were privileged to share over 61 years. Charles Richard preceded her in death on September 12, 2007. Also preceding her were her parents; and one brother, Warren Smith. Christine was a homemaker, and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Terry and wife, Valerie Hall of Houston, Texas, and David D. Hall and wife, Kendel of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 3 p.m., in Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Grove, Mo., under the direction of Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. The family will receive friends n the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., prior to the graveside services. Memorials may be given in her memory to Good Shepherd Hospice or Garnett Road Baptist Church of Tulsa, Okla., where services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday morning, prior to returning to Walnut Grove, Mo.
