Georgette A. (Barton) Leonard, 80, of Marlborough died Monday (Nov. 21, 2011) at Marlborough Hospital after an illness. She leaves her husband of 52 years Francis R. Leonard and her children Kathleen M. Leonard of Hudson and Chief of Police of Marlborough Mark F. Leonard and his wife Beth of Marlborough. Also leaves five brothers: Alfred Barton of Hudson, Ernest Barton of Florida, Edward Barton of Florida, Edmond Barton of Hudson and Robert Barton of West Brookfield, MA. and her three grandchildren: Jonathan Testa, Joseph Leonard and Christina Leonard. Sister of the late Lucille Barton and Raymond Barton. She was born in Marlborough, daughter of the late Ernest and Annette (Benoit) Barton and grew up in Hudson and attended Hudson Schools. She worked for over 25 years in the City of Marlborough School Cafeterias, especially the Middle School and the High School, and was a supervisor when she retired in 1995. Previously worked at the former Dennison Manufacturing Co. of Marlborough. She enjoyed camping with her husband and family in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. She was a great cook and was well known for her Boston Baked Beans, pecan pies and especially her chocolate cupcakes. Funeral will be held Saturday (Nov. 26, 2011) at 8A.M. from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough with a Funeral Mass at 9 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
