JACKSON, George Wilbert - It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on November 30, 2009 in his 88th year. George leaves behind a lifetime of memories and achievements for his family to treasure. He has left behind his beloved wife Dagmar; his children David (Julie), Barry (Deyanira) and Linda Gillis (Malcolm); grandchildren Daniel and Justin (sons of Linda and Malcolm), James and Jessica (son and daughter of David and Julie), Santiago and Diego (sons of Barry and Deyanira). George was truly a self-made businessman. Born in Saskatoon and having served in the Air Force, he started his manufacturing career in Vancouver, BC in 1952, with Jackson Scaffolding. There he lived with his second wife Elizabeth Boulet. Later, George started up Jasco in Mississauga, ON manufacturing aluminum shoring and scaffolding where his business is now called Hi-Lite Systems/Jasco Sales Inc., where he met Dagmar Little and they have lived in Mississauga, ON ever since. Golfing became a huge pastime for George and Dagmar, they have made a lot of wonderful friends at Markland Woods Golf Club where they were members for years. In the business world, true entrepreneur, always designing, creating and endeavouring to make the best 'widget' out there. George will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace. Friends and family may call at the Scott Funeral Home - Mississauga Chapel, 420 Dundas St. E., Mississauga from 5-9 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009. Cremation.
