TUSCALOOSA Staff Sgt. George Washington Jackson, age 88, of Tuscaloosa, died July 14, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be noon Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Lewis officiating and Bishop Isiah Jackson, eulogist. Burial will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial Park with Van Hoose & Steele Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be today from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with family hour from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.In his early walk of life, he was a member of the Warrior Masonic Lodge 406 FM.
