SOUTHAMPTON - George Ward III, age 79, of Leisuretowne, Southampton, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Mt. Holly.George was a former trustee of Leisuretowne, a Rotarian, and a member of the Elks, Odd Fellows, and Rebekahs. He also enjoyed reading, and video games.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Smith Ward; his daughter, Gwendolyn Jobes and her husband Melvin; two sons, George and his wife Norma, and Brett; three brothers, Frank, Jan and his wife Joan, William and his wife Elaine; a sister, Shirley Pywell; six grandchildren, George V and his wife Rhonda, Joshua and his wife Teresa, Dr. Michelle Howell (Jobes) and her husband Tom, Melissa (Jobes) Montes and her husband Erik, Aaron Jobes, and Kyle Ward; five great-grandchildren, Haley, Cameron, Ryan, and Cooper Ward, and Kayla Montes. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Aug 20) at the Vincentown Grange No 67, Main Street, Vincentown. Friends may call at 10:30 a.m. Contributions in his name may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053, or Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Moore Funeral Home, Browns Mills.
