BOULTER, George Stanley Stanley was born in Cardiff Wales, September 16, 1911 and died at home surrounded by family on January 25, 2010 at 98 years of age. Stan was beloved husband of Irma for nearly 73 years who predeceased him in June 2009 and dearly loved father of Grace Burden (Karl), Gail Stevens (Paul) and Garth Boulter (Margaret), his son having passed away in 1986. He was the proud grandfather of Carol Anderson (Stephen), Margot Leupold (Chris), Mark Burden (Margaret), Stephen Boulter (Eileen), Janice Busche (Trevor), David Stevens (Kathy), Stuart Boulter (Mitra), and Sandra Boulter. His fifteen great-grandchildren were also his great joy and pride. Stan was predeceased by his brother-in-law Lloyd Pierce in 1990 (Jean), brother Eric in 1994 (Florence) and sister-in-law Olive Karsgaard. Stan was an active Rotarian, was partially responsible for the development of Canola Oil when he was President of the Canola Council of Canada, and had a distinguished career in the vegetable oil processing industry. Stan and Irma were active members of First Baptist Church, Vancouver. The memorial service will be held at West Point Grey Baptist Church, 4509 West 11th Avenue, Vancouver on Monday, March 1st at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honour to the Canadian Bible Society, Canadian Baptist Ministries or World Vision.
