SMITH _ George Sidney, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 7th, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 22nd, 1913 in Saskatchewan, George made his way to B.C. in 1947 and eventually settled in Ladner. George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara; son Marq (Linda); daughter Tannis and 2 beautiful grandchildren Jessie and Garth. George was a welder by trade and a long time member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of George's Life will be held at the Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk Road, Ladner on Wednesday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Delta Hospital Foundation.
