Department of TransportationHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. -- Mr. George Paterson of Hopkinsville, Ky., died of cancer Friday (March 10, 2006). He was 78.Born April 24, 1927, in Jacksonville, Mr. Paterson was a former resident of Florida before moving to Hopkinsville. He served in the Navy. He worked for the Florida Department of Transportation.Mr. Paterson is survived by his wife, Lenora A. Bryant; sons, Howard "Bill" Bryant, Lakeland, Robert Joseph Bryant, Lake Wales; daughters, LeeAnn Bryant, Hopkinsville, Candy Sue Bryant and Tina M. Bryant, both of Lakeland; sister, Selma Marlow, Trenton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
