George E. 86 of Sarasota, FL and Hammondsport, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2002 at the Doctor's Hospital in Sarasota, FL. He was born August 8, 1915 in Bath, the son of Jay and Lillian Mann Morrison. George was a member of the Bath Masonic Lodge and the Bath Lodge of Elks and was the owner, Operator of the Lakeview Motel and Liquor Store in Bath for many years retiring in 1979. Surviving are his wife, Jean Gifford Morrison; stepson, Jay Flannery of Syracuse; 2 step grandchildren and one nieces and one nephew. Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 PM at the LaMarche Funeral Home in Hammondsport. A funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home Friday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Babs Steinert will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family has requested the courtesy of no flowers.
