->George E. Lee BALLSTON SPA - George E. Lee, 81, passed away Thursday, Febuary 5, 2015. Born in Patterson, New York on June 5, 1933, he was the son of Edward and Mary (Whitefeather) Lee. He was a decorated veteran serving in the US Marine Corp and the US Army retiring after 25 years of service. He served in Vietnam and Korea and was awarded a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart. After retiring from the military, George was a truck driver for Red Star Trucking for 17 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod and Hawaii with his wife and family. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. George is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judy; his children Michelle, Mary, Laura, David, Tina and Tary; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his beloved four legged companion Penny. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service with military honors at 1:30pm, Friday, February 20 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Adopt A Soldier, 16 New Britain Drive, Gansevoort, NY 12831.
