-> Metter - George Lee, 92, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at Candler County Hospital. The son of the late George W. and Sarah Bowen Lee, he was born in Candler County and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Metter High School and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Candler County Farm Bureau, the First Baptist Church of Metter and a former member of the Berean Sunday School Class. Survivors: wife of 66 years, Christine Rocker Lee of Metter; daughter and son in law, Linda L. and James H. McDonald, Jr. of Lexington, SC; grandson, Christopher L. McDonald of Greenwood, SC; granddaughter, Sara E. McDonald of Lexington, SC. Visitation: 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Hook Chapel.
