b CLIFTON PARK George J. Lemieux, 75, a native of Lansingburgh and former resident of Clifton Park, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003, at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home after a long illness. George was born May 9, 1928, and resided in Lansingburgh most of his life before moving to Clifton Park. He retired from the Charles Freihofer Baking Company where he was employed for many years. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Lois (Monroe) Lemieux of Clifton Park; loving son, Gary Lemieux of Cohoes; and two loving sisters, Irene Welcome of Troy and Bertha Ryan of Cohoes. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (Welch) Lemieux; daughter, Cindy Marron; parents, Mary and Leo Lemieux; and two sisters, Florence (Turner) Flanangan and Gloria Piazza. Survivors also include several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends. An anatomical gift was made to the Albany Medical College. A memorial funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 13 at St. Augustine's Church, Fourth Ave. and 115th St., Lansingburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NENY, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY, 12206 and the Clifton Park Ambulance and Fire Dept.
