BERG, George Howard It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, George Berg of Calgary. George was born on April 16, 1933 in Kerrobert, Sask., and died September 12, 2007 in Calgary. He leaves behind his wife of forty-nine years, Louise (Kolysher), and children Marie (Victor) Wong, Phil (Tara) Berg, Kathy (Greg) Popoff, Edie Rowse, Karen Berg and Andrew (Lori) Berg. He will be missed by his ten grandchildren William, Madison, Hanna, AJ, Aidan, Kane, Sophie, Alec, Georgina and Lynaia. Also left to mourn are his brothers Bob (Ruby) Berg of Moose Jaw and Murray (Carol) Wilson of Cranbrook, and sister-in-law Pat Berg of Calgary, and their families. George was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Berg, stepmother Edythe Berg, and brother Harold. At George's request, a private family Service will be held. Friends and family are invited to a drop-in celebration of George's life on Sunday, September 16 at North Haven Community Hall at 5003 North Haven Drive N.W. between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memoriam to the Salvation Army Agape Hospice at 1302 - 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary T2N 1B8.
