George H. Larson, 78, Bradenton, died Dec. 19, 2004, in Manatee Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Minneapolis and came to Manatee County in 1989 from Meadowview, Va. He retired as an engineer for Bell South. He was a Mason, a ranger at Peridia Golf Club and a lifetime member of American Legion Kirby Stewart Post 24. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Twilah; a daughter, Connie Harder of Vacaville, Calif.; sons Jeffrey of Raleigh, N.C., and Mark of Sarasota; a sister, Dorthea Thompson of Christmas Valley, Ore.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced later. Manasota Memorial Funeral Home in Bradenton is in charge.
