George Edward Jackson, 67, died Monday, February 10, 2003, in Candler Hospital after a long illness. He was raised in Olathe, CO and graduated from Olathe High School in 1954. He retired after 23 years of service from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He was an avid golfer and followed the Christian faith. Survivors: wife, Joan Canady Jackson of Savannah; daughter, Lisa A. MacLeod of Montrose, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Joel K. and Donna E. Jackson of Flag Pond, TN; mother, Savannah R. Jackson of Olathe, CO; brother, Donald L. Jackson of Panama City, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Carol A. and A. Dale Dunkel of Modesto, CA; two grandsons, Silas G. Jackson of Flag Pond, TN and Elijah C. MacLeod of Montrose, CO. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, in Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
