COWLEY, George Arthur (1930-2006) On February 5th, 2006 in Ottawa after a long illness fought with grace and good humour. Much loved husband and friend of Deborah Cowley, father of Christopher (Alena Dvorakova) and Geoffrey (Nancy Alilovic), grandfather of Eliska and brother of Dr. Marion Rogers of Vancouver and Elisabeth Cowley of London, England. George's life was marked by a passionate dedication to Canada's Foreign Service, a genuine kindness to all those he met, and a true spirit of adventure that carried him to most corners of the world. With heartfelt thanks to the devoted and caring staff at the Ottawa Grace Manor and to many loyal friends who have been so supportive. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 10th at All Saints Anglican Church, Sandy Hill, Ottawa, corner of Chapel and Laurier.
