DENNIS Genevieve Russell Dennis, age 84, of Southaven, Miss., previously of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at her home. Genevieve was born on Christmas Day, 1921 to the late Calvin and Sarah Hooper-Russell in Hendersonville, N.C. While residing in Bridgeport, she was employed by Acme Shear, General Electric and later as a domestic worker. She leaves to cherish her memories five daughters, Kathie and Virginia Dennis and Karen Bracey of Bridgeport, Robbyn (Cide Sr.) Robinson of Southaven, Miss., and Vikki (Cedric) Carl of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Claude and James (Nate) Dennis of Bridgeport; one sister, Gladys Freeman of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Jonathan Russell of Edneyville, N.C.; six sisters-in-law, Liza Jane Dennis of Anderson, S.C., Lillie Mae Russell of Edneyville, N.C., Sarah Russell of Hendersonville, N.C., Cora Lee Russell of Middlebury and Etrulie and Georgia Russell of Bridgeport; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 7 p.m. in Mt. Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank Street, Bridgeport with Dr. Anthony L. Bennett officiating. Viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church. Arrangements entrusted to Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will be in Park Cemetery.
