He had been a teacher and a coach at Hendersonville High School and Gallatin Junior High/Middle School. Gary was a motorcycle enthusiast, and loved being on or around the water. He was preceded in death by his father, Teddy Rex Davis and his grandparents, Joe and Minnie Belle Fathera, and Bedford and Sylvia Davis. He is survived by wife of 35 years, Linda Davis and mother, Doris Davis. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Bond Memorial Chapel, with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers will be Jim Wiseman, Rick Davis, Bob Sorey, Jackie Hayes, Flyn Jennings, Donnie Odom, Lynn McCulloch and Ronnie Green. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ira L. Davis, Bobby Fathera, Danny Ray Fathera, Kenneth Shrum, Stan Force and the 1982 Girls Basketball Team of Gallatin Junior High School.
