JOHNSON, GARY LEE, 60, of Shepherdsville, was born March 9, 1950 to Marvin LeRoy and Doris Nethery Johnson and returned to his Heavenly Father, Friday, October 15, 2010. Mr. Johnson worked for Ford Motor Company, E.I. duPont & Company and Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company. He was a lifelong member of Little Flock Baptist Church, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars #5710 serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and a dedicated UK Wildcat fan. Among those who preceded him in death include his mother, Doris Nethery Johnson and a brother, David LeRoy Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Sandy Barton Johnson; daughter, Jennifer Stricklin (Todd); son, Jason Johnson; stepson, Scott Shannon; father, Marvin LeRoy Johnson; sisters, Shirley Hagan (Dennis) and Barbie Warren (Ricky); grandchildren, Amelia, Isabella, Kylie and Mickayla; his beloved pet, Bryer and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Bardstown City Cemetery. Visitation from 1- 8 p.m. on Sunday at Schoppenhorst.
