1980-2014 FAIRFIELD - Gary Lee, 34, died unexpectedly on April 28, 2014, at his home in Fairfield. Gary was a devoted husband and father to his two beautiful girls, Abby and Katie. He loved them with all his heart and soul. He would participate in any action if he thought that it would put a smile on their faces and loved these two precious girls with all he had. Gary grew up in Clinton, and graduated from Lawrence High School and Kennebec Valley Community College. He had worked the past several years at Mainely Trusses in Fairfield. Gary is survived by his wife, Erin, his daughters, Abby and Katie Lee, all of Fairfield; his mother, Sherry (Lee) Tanner, and stepfather William Tanne,r of Fairfield; his brother, Roman Cardena,s and his girlfriend, Crystal Leland, of China; his brother, Chris Cardenas, and his girlfriend, Kinsey Hilton, of Waterville; and his brother, Roy Cardenas, and his wife, Michaela, of Waterville. Gary is also survived by his mother-in-law, Catherine Ladd, his sister-in-law, Caitlin Ladd, her boyfriend, Eric Hellman, and their daughter, Catarina, and his brother-in-law, Ian Ladd, all of Oakland. Gary is also survived and affectionately known as Uncle Gooey to his niece whom he loved very much, Ana Lucia "Lucy" Cardenas; his sister-in-law, Amber Cardenas, his two stepbrothers, William Tanner, and his family, of Farmington, and Ryan Tanner and his family, of Skowhegan; his three stepsisters, Sandy Sanchez, and her family, Diane Stille and her family, and Jennifer Cardenas and her family, and their dad, Gabby Cardenas, all of Texas. Gary is also survived by his grandparents, Cecil and Maude Lee, of Fairfield; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Gary was predeceased by his father, Gary Killam; and cousin Mickey Killam. A remembrance gathering will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, May 2, 2014, at Fairfield United Methodist Church, U.S. Route 201, Fairfield. There will be a private graveside service for family only.
