DE BERRY, Gail JohnsonGail Johnson De Berry of West Palm Beach, passed away peacefully Friday, August 22, 2014. Born in Rutland, VT, September 1, 1941, she was the daughter of Howard and Dorothy Johnson. She was a graduate of Palm Beach High School, Palm Beach Junior College and Florida Atlantic University. Gail taught elementary school in West Palm Beach before moving to New York, where she was a longtime employee of the Mohawk Club in Schenectady. She later returned to West Palm Beach and worked for many years at the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach. She was predeceased by her husband Lew De Berry of Palm Beach and is survived by her brother Howard (Linda) Johnson, her nephews Jeffrey (Fidela) and Jeremy (Sunni) Johnson, great niece Morgan and great nephew Howard, all of West Palm Beach, as well as her aunt Eleanor Morse and numerous cousins in Vermont. Gail was knownn for love of animals and music. A member of Grace Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, she was loved by all who knew her. Her family extends thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Florida Cancer Specialists and to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
