ANDERSON Mrs. Gail Joan "Joanie" (Stankosky) Anderson, age 48, of 53 Church Street, Seymour, died Tuesday, October 24,2006 at her home. She is the wife of her loving husband and soulmate, Eric O. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was born in Bridgeport, on January 3,1958, a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Anna D. (O'Brien) Stankosky. She was a dog breeder and groomer and was the former owner of UnRUFFled PURRfection Pet Grooming in Oxford and was very devoted member of the Seymour Four Square Gospel Church. Mrs. Anderson loved animals and was very devoted to religion. She also enjoyed collecting angels and big cats and had a passion for writing. Besides her husband, Mrs. Anderson is survived by two daughters: Heather A. D'Alessio and Ashley A. Anderson, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a son: Eric I.E. Anderson of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a sister: Joyce A. Smith of Prospect; a brother-in-law: Mark G. Smith of Prospect; two grandchildren: Zane S. D'Alessio and Versailles A. D'Alessio, both of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a niece: Colleen A. Paolini of Framingham, Mass.; and six adopted nieces and nephews: Katya A. Smith, Vanya Smith, Tatiana L. Smith, Matthew C. Smith, Katerina E. Smith and Evan T. Smith, all of Prospect. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 29,2006 at 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd., Route 69, Prospect. Burial and graveside prayers will be held on Tuesday October 31,2006 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday October 29,2006 from 5 to 7 p.m.
