->AUGUSTA -- Gail G. Martin, age 52, of Fuller Street, and formerly of Trueworthy Avenue, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at her home following a long and courageous battle with pulmonary hypertension with her family by her side. She was born in Augusta on Sept.10, 1953, a daughter of Richard C. and Loretta (Turmel) Brann.Ms. Martin was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1971.She had been employed by Key Bank, Peachey Builders and Bates Mfg. Co., Edwards Division.Ms. Martin was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was very involved in the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.She was pre-deceased by her grandmother, Exilia Brann. Ms. Martin is survived by her parents: Richard C. and Loretta (Turmel) Brann of Augusta; her lifelong partner of 20 years, Lisa Shenett of Augusta; two daughters: Susan Zayac and her fiancé, Steven Leet, of Augusta and Michelle Condon and her husband, Ben, of Sidney; two brothers: Richard R. Brann and his wife, Hilda, of West Gardiner and Robert D. Brann and his companion, Debbie, of Lewiston; two sisters: Linda M. Soule and her husband, Wayne, of Augusta and Lorna J. Botts and her husband, Phill, of Augusta; four grandchildren: Joshua Zayac, Tyler Leet, Brandon and Bradley Condon; an uncle, Ray Turmel; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and her dear dog, Mickey.Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta.The family would like to extend their deep thanks to the staff of R-7 at Maine Medical Center in Portland and the staff on A-1 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.
