GIBBS, GRACE CELIA VERONICA FARARO, 67Ocala - Grace Celia Veronica Fararo Gibbs died in Hospice of Marion County, February 11, 2013, she was 67 years old. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, December 4th 1945, the only child of Joseph Fararo and Lucille Francis Fararo, maiden name Westley, changed from Weinstein. She was named Grace as her mother was told she could not conceive. She was considered a "miracle" birth. Grace lived her early years in New Jersey and New York, Queens and New York City, later living in Gainesville, FL., in the 70's and 80's with her husband Royce Gibbs. They lived in Ocala starting in 1992. Grace was an accomplished, published writer, and graduate of Santa Fe and UF. She was a counselor at Sunland Center and CETA Program, also at Horsemanship For The Handicapped. Together with her husband, she raised and showed Great Danes, ran Great Dane rescue, worked with Gainesville Humane Society, adopting dogs and cats in their home. Grace and Royce started Circle R Auto Electrics Inc. in 1985, going 28 years so far; and Grace started Curious Cat shoppes in Gainesville and Ocala. Grace was a very strong supporter of the A.S.P.C.A. Covenant House, Defenders of Wildlife, PBS and NPR. Grace is survived by her husband, Royce Gibbs; her son, Thomas Curran; her grand daughter Sierra Skye Fararo-Curran; her sisters-in-law Melissa Burnette, of Newport News, VA. and Marilyn Kinkel of Severna Park, MD; and all of her animals, those who lived with her, and those she saved. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter-in-law, Amber Shelle Ja Gibbs.
