JORDAN, GOLDIE ELLEN age 74 of Gardendale died Monday, June 20, 2011 in an automobile accident. Funeral services were 7:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2011, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial 10:00 Saturday at New Bethel Cemetery. Bro. Dave Franks, Jr. officiated. Visitation was 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Julia Jordan; sisters, Loretta Jordan, Coffeine Keller, and Verna Smith; and brother, Luther Jordan. Whether she was going out to eat or to the senior center to play the bells, she was always dressed to impress. She loved to travel and enjoy new experiences. While she never forgot her childhood home in Kentucky and visited often, she loved her family and appreciated every moment spent with them. She was a faithful member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her sisters, Naomi Littleton, Freda Carroll, Olive Winters, Isabel Henderson, Verdis Enix, Loula Butler and Nellie Robertson; brother, John Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton was entrusted with the arrangements.
