ALEXANDER, GLADYS RUTH - age 87, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Gladys was an active member of First Baptist Concord and member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alice White; husband, Sam Alexander, son, Gary Alexander; three brothers, five sisters, three half sisters, and two half brothers. Gladys is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Oneida and Arthur Gibson of Shady Dale, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, many precious friends and church family. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. Rev. Steve Peek will officiate. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Monday for graveside services at Cedar Fork Cemetery in Paint Rock, TN.
