GODWIN, George Walter, 63, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died Friday, September 14, 2001. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 17, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Winston Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mae B. Godwin; daughter, Masha G. (Stephen) Stone; son, George Bubba (Chasity) Godwin and three grandchildren, George Cole Godwin, Preston D. Stone and Seth Davis. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Varner, Austin Martin, Mike Prickett, David Lindsey, Alan White, Ken Jones, Buddy Barnette and Al Butler.
