JACKSON, GEORGE CLAXTON Departed this life on November 28, 2012 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born on July 27, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was employed with Connecticut General Life Insurance Company and the TVA. George was preceded in death by his father, James Abraham Jackson, Sr.; brother, James Abraham Jackson, Jr.; son, Gary Edmond Jackson; nephew, Derrek Anthony Jackson; brothre-in-law, Albert Montgomery, Jr. George leaves to cherish his memoires and celebrate his life, a devoted wife, Sandra Jackson; sons, Steven Jackson (Tiffany) and Cedrick Jackson (Audrey); daughters, KaVonna Davis and LaRosia Carrington (Roger); mother, Ernestine Jackson; sister, Jacquilyn Franklin (Carl; brother, Eugene Jackson (Marion); eight grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a special circle of friends. Special thanks to Paliative Care, Dr. Brewer and the nursing staf of 7 south at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00AM until 12PM with funeral to follow at Unity Mortuary Chapel. Interment to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Service to conclude with full-dove release. Mr. Jackson's guest book can be signed online at www.unitymortuary.com or www.legacy.com. Arrangements by Unity Mortuary.
