->Johnson, Gary EdwinFriendsville PA: age 70, passed from our loving arms into the arms of our Lord on March 18th, 2011 at his home with his loving family at his side. Gary was predeceased by his mother and father, Clair W. and Erma Stanford Johnson; a brother, Richard Johnson; and two nephews, Ronald and David. Gary is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Bonnie Baker Johnson; two sons, Joseph and wife Lora Johnson, Little Meadows, PA, and Kevin Johnson, Reading, PA; two daughters, Valerie and husband, William Gow, Jr., Little Meadows, PA, and Colleen and husband Jeffrey Haberle, Brackney, PA; 10 grandchildren, Nicole and Brendon Johnson, Little Meadows, PA, Zachery Johnson, Reading, PA, Cadet Benjamin A. Johnson, V.F.M.A., Wayne, PA, Quiersti and Quinnten Hooko and their sister Madigan Gow, Little Meadows, PA, Daniel, Nathan and Jonathan Haberle, Brackney, PA; a sister, Dale A. Hicks, Easton, MD; sisters-in-law, Dawn and husband Milton Sherman, Sunbury, PA and Janet Johnson, Freeville, NY; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary was a USN Veteran, serving on the USS Massey as a Sonar Tech. He retired from Endicott-Johnson after 23 years as an over the road truck driver. Prior to that, he was employed by Bendix Corp., South Montrose, PA and Proctor and Gamble, Mahoopany, PA. He was a member of the Franklin Forks United Methodist Church. Gary enjoyed his friends and family on the weekends, preparing his special BBQ chicken and bonfires. He spent years of joy hunting, fishing, and playing horseshoes with his many close buddies that grew up with him, known as the "Snake Creek Gang" and riding with his close friends on their Harleys. A memorial service will be held at 5:15 p.m., March 26th, 2011 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA. Internment will be held in Lawsville Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 4:15-5:15 Saturday, prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 on behalf of his granddaughter, Madigan Claire Gow.
