SMITH, Gary Dixon, age 48, a resident of Eclectic, AL, died Friday, October 5, 2001, at his residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. from the Church in the Pines in Kowaliga, AL, with Ric West, Gary's best friend from Pennsylvania officiating. He was preceded in death by his father, L. Earl Smith. He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Janey Kelly Smith; two sons, Isaac Andrew Smith of Mobile, AL and Matthew Dixon Smith of Brooklyn, NY; loving companion Bosco; mother, Faye D. Smith of Montgomery, AL; sister, Karen Smith of Montgomery, AL; brother, Earl Smith and wife Donna of Covington, GA; niece, Faith Smith of Covington, GA; nephew, Justin Wiles of Auburn, AL.
