Gail-Parson Smith, born in 1938, spouse of Bob Smith, daughter of Franklin and Esther, died on November 10, 2003 at 65 years old.
SMITH, GAIL PARSON, 65, of Ridgely, MD, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2003. Gail was born in Coral Gables, FL, to Esther and Franklin Parson on August 19, 1938. She moved to Winter Park to attend Rollins College. After graduating from Rollins in 1960, she moved with her husband, Bob, to Orlando. While raising her two children, she was a substitute teacher at many schools around Orlando. An avid reader and talented writer, she loved animals, especially cats. She was a member of her church, Alpha Phi Sorority and the Republican party. She is survived by two children: Kimberly Gail Jarrell of Hurlock, Maryland, and Robert L. Smith, Jr., of Orlando; sister, Nancy Fish of Tampa, Nancy's children, Kathy, Roger and Janette and her dear friends. A memorial service and celebration of Gail's life will be held Sunday, November 16, 2003, 2PM at College Park United Methodist Church, 644 W. Princeton Street, Orlando. 407-843-7197.
