KING - G.W. KENNETH February 16,1935 - December 19, 2008 Ken passed away peacefully in his home. He will be remembered by his son Patrick and daughter-in-law Diane, sisters Winnifred, Maxine, Jean, and Sheila, as well as many other family members and friends. Ken was predeceased by his wife Doreen, parents Stanley and Ethel, and brother Gordon. Ken was born in Winnipeg, but grew up and graduated high school in Togo, SK. He had an outstanding career in the RCMP beginning in 1954 and retiring as an Inspector in 1989. Ken married Doreen on July 25,1959. Their life in the RCMP took them to many cities across Canada, making friends wherever they went. Ken was a devoted husband and excellent father. He was a caring person, who donated countless hours to friends and to the community as a long time member of the Langley Lions. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday January 3, at 1:30 PM at Newlands Golf and Country Club in Langley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ken's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
