PEL _ Frederick. May 14, 1922 to January 12, 2007. Fred is survived by wife Vera, daughter Angela Marie, and 4 sons: David, 2 stepchildren; Fred C (Elsiena), Susan, Mathew, Bryan. Jonathan, Sheri, and Trisha. Allen (Steffany), James and Aaron, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Fred's 2 sisters: Mrs. Hilda Slot and 4 children and families. Mrs. Tina (John) DeJong and 6 children and families. Predeceased by brother Pieter, survived by his 4 children. Fred's late parents: Coenraad and Hiltje. Fred came to Vancouver in 1927 from Holland with his family. Attended Inman Ave. School in Burnaby and Vancouver Technical, grad of 1941. Worked as a machinist for Pumps and Power, Dominion Bridge, then worked for Canada Manpower and Immigration for 26 years. Delivered meals on wheels for years. Was involved in many committees and groups. Played on a senior's softball team, his lifelong sport. Also joined the mall walkers. Fred was very involved in church life. He has "Fought the good fight, and finished the race". Praise God. Memorial service at First Vancouver Christian Reformed Church, 2670 Victoria Drive at 11th Avenue, with Rev. H. Numan officiating. 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 17th. Flowers gratefully declined.
