Frederick G. 91 years old, beloved husband for fifteen years to Laurel (Boyle) Michaud, went to his eternal rest on January 9, 2003. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was born on February 13, 1911 in Island Falls Me. to John and Elizabeth (Fisher) Michaud. He was a resident of Catlin, NY and Fort Pierce, FL. He was a man of many talents and built the home in Catlin in which he resided for 55 years. After he retired, he built a woodworking shop where he created many pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren. His hobbies were woodworking, gardening, farming, reading and cooking. He worked as a toolmaker for most of his life and owned and operated F.G. Michaud Tool Company in Horseheads, NY for 20 years. Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Barbara Cole & her husband Paul of Lakeland, FL and Mansfield, PA, Annette Bonsignore and Charlene Williams both of Wethersfield, CT, two sons Fred Michaud, Jr. and his wife Joele of Washington DC, Richard Michaud and his wife Nancy of The Villages, FL. He also leaves 14 Grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves brother Clarence Michaud of Brandenton, FL, two stepsons George Boyle and his wife Carol of Hudson, MA and Joseph Boyle and his wife Marie of Westboro, MA, two step grandsons and three step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by first wife, Evelyn (Bernard) Michaud and several brothers and sisters. A service was held in Fort Pierce at St. Mark's Catholic Church where tribute was paid to him by his family and friends. A service will be held on July 19th in Catlin, NY to scatter his ashes, time to be announced. Contributions can be made in his memory to the American Lung Association.
