KORFHAGE, FREDERICK JOHN, "BUZ," III, 70, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004, at his home. He was a retired employee of General Electric Company, an Army veteran and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and the Gruetli Helvetia Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick John "Fritz" Korfhage II and Josephine C. Allgeier Korfhage, a brother, David L. Korfhage, and a grandson, Matthew P. Korfhage. He is survived by his wife, Virginia "Herbie" Rothenburger Kor-fhage; five sons, William Michael (Karen) Brewer, Frederick John Korfhage IV, Walter S. (Tara) Korfhage, Charles "Chuck" Kor-fhage and James A. (Winette) Korfhage; seven grandchildren, W. Michael Brewer Jr. and F. John V, Andrew, Amanda, Colton, Madison and Bailey; stepgranddaughter, Brianne Brown; sister, Jacqueline Karcher; and brothers, Larry J. and Victor P. Korfhage. His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Athanasius Building Fund or to Hospice of Louisville.
