Angers, Frederick ErnestDec. 11, 1923 - Nov. 24, 2007Frederick Ernest Angers, 83, Sarasota, died Nov. 24, 2007.Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Siesta Key. Burial will follow in Sarasota Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anne; daughters Elizabeth J. Kaufmann and Rebecca A. Parrish of Sarasota; and brothers Robert and Richard of Sarasota.Survivors also include three grandchildren, Joshua and Rebecca Kaufmann and Hunter Parrish. Mr. Angers studied art at the Ringling School of Art and Design and music at Florida Southern College in Lakeland and the American Theatre Wing, New York City. He was a member of the Barber Shoppers and sang professionally at the John Ringling Hotel and other local establishments.He was a choir member of St. Michael the Archangel and St. Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota for 50 years. He was a longtime Sarasota County employee and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He loved the beach, cruising and music. His good-natured demeanor and positive outlook on life will be missed by all.Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
