MOORE, Dr. Frederick Charles. Died peacefully on May 5, 2005 in his ninety-first year at Montreal General Hospital. Sadly missed by his beloved wife of fifty-six years, Barbara (Place), by his son David, daughter-in-law Gigi (Currie), and by his cherished grandchildren, Lindsay and Stephanie. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, colleagues, patients and friends of all ages. Deep gratitude to his niece Diana DeRoche and to his second family Tom, Nancy, Katie and Annie Thompson. Their love and support have been extraordinary. A caring and devoted husband, father and physician, Fred was truly one of a kind. He had a long and happy run, which he loved and lived to the fullest. Memorial service will be held in the chapel of Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20 (Cartier exit 49) Pointe Claire on Thursday, May 12 at 3:00 p.m., preceded there by a short visitation at 2:30 p.m. The service will be followed by a celebration of Fred's life, from 4:00 p.m. Special thanks to all the doctors and staff at the Montreal General Hospital, particularly the Dialysis Unit and floor 13E. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Osler Library (McGill University), The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or to a charity of your choice.
