Frederick A. Larson, 66, a winter resident of Punta Gorda, died March 14, 2004. He was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Lynn, Mass., and had wintered in Punta Gorda for the past six years while residing in Topsfield, Mass. A retired program manager, he worked for General Electric, Aircraft Engine Division, in Lynn, Mass., for 42 years. He was a member of the Platinum Point Yacht Club at Burnt Store Marina and Country Club in Punta Gorda. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joan C. of Lynn, Mass.; sons Frederick C. of Rotterdam, N.Y., Andrew P. of Newburyport, Mass., and Christopher J. of Danvers, Mass.; a sister, Mildred Nordin of Baltimore; a brother, Richard of Naples; and three granddaughters. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Punta Gorda Chapel. Services and burial will be at a later in Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
