April 23, 1914 - November 19, 2013Freda passed peacefully with daughter Alice at her side. Oh, so very close to her one hundredth birthday. Freda was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Vancouver Island in the late 1950's. Freda was predeceased by her first husband, Stewart Simpson of Winnipeg, Manitoba; second husband, George Williams of Victoria; her brother, Austin Drinkwater of Victoria; great grandson, Kalen Furukawa of Victoria; great grandson, Kelly Jedinak of Victoria. Freda leaves behind her only daughter, Alice; three grandchildren, Errol, Elaine (Takashi), and Edward (Sue); six great grandchildren, Adam, Kimberley (Kevin), Laine, Curtis, Shayla and Madison; two great great grandsons, Trigger and Crew. Freda also leaves behind sister-in-law, Jean Drinkwater of Campbell River; nephews, James, Robert and Derek and their families. A special thanks to Annette and the wonderful friends and staff at the Jesken Aerie, James Bay Care Centre and Royal Jubilee Hospital. Your care and kindness is greatly appreciated. Freda was a proud and beautiful woman. "Nannie" was our rock and will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held on December 7, 2013 at 10:00 am at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC
