Fred Johnson, Sr. was born in Mathews, AL to Frank and Mary Pearl Johnson on February 2, 1942. He confessed Christ at an early age joined Piney Grove Baptist Church #1 where he remained a member until God called his servant home on November 21, 2012.Fred leaves to cherish a loving and devoted wife, Tommie Mae Johnson; two sons, Fred (Beverly) Johnson, Jr., Montgomery, AL and Chris Johnson, Albuquerque, New Mexico; one daughter, Deidre Nicole Johnson, Montgomery, AL; one step-son, Joe (Jackie) Miller, Montgomery, AL; three sisters, Ella Johnson, Mathews, AL, Margie (Willie) Reynolds, Fitzpatrick, AL and Elmira Carr, Mathews, AL; two brothers, Luther (Early) Johnson, Mathews, AL and Henry (Mattie) Johnson, Cecil, AL; two aunts, Frazier Scott, Cleveland, OH and Lula "Tee" Burks, Montgomery, AL; one uncle, Willie Ashley, Cleveland, OH; one brother-in-law, Jerry Urquhart, Detroit, MI. He also leaves to cherish 13 loving grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Pearl Johnson; one sister, Ollie Urquhart and daughter, Katie Griffin.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Piney Grove Baptist Church #1, 1649 County Road 36, Mathews, AL at 12:00 noon.
