Franklyn E. Lee 1956 - 2013 SPRINGFIELD - Franklyn Eugene Lee, 57, of Governor St., departed this life on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Hartford, CT, the son of Ola (Harris) Lee and the late Charles E. Lee Sr., Franklyn moved to Springfield with his family in 1960. Franklyn was trained and skilled in auto repair. Prior to becoming disabled, he held many service jobs in the Springfield community and will be remembered for his work as a mechanic at Jiffy Lube. Pre-deceased by his sister, Terry Ann Lee, he is survived by his wife, Tina Marie (Moriarty) Lee; his mother, Ola Lee of Springfield; his daughters, Tameka Lee Washington, of Tallahassee, FL, and Tangie Jones Jewel and Leeanna Brown, both of Springfield; his sons, Kyle Burton and Franklyn Lee Jr., both of Springfield; and step-sons, Melvin Moriarty and Jayson Moriarty, both of Springfield; nine siblings, Johnny Patterson of GA, Shirley Lee and Charles E. Lee Jr., both of Springfield, Gary Lee of Windsor, CT, Faith Grace Lee and Pamela Lee, both of TX, Ramonita Pinto of Buffalo, NY, Karen Lee Hall of NC, and Edwin Lee of Manchester, CT; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Third Baptist Church, 149 Walnut St. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
