Obituary of Frank-James Williams


Funeral for Frank James Williams, 64, of Town Creek will be Monday, April 19, 2004, at noon at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Sparks officiating and Thompson & Son Funeral Home directing. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Red Bank Community Cemetery. Mr. Williams died Thursday, April 15, 2004. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek. He was a member of Red Bank Masonic Lodge and was an active member of the Red Bank Volunteer Fire Department. He was an employee of TVA maintenance base in Muscle Shoals. Frank loved to attend church and was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved his work, his friends and his community. He was preceded in death by his father, John Williams.His precious memories are cherished by a loving wife, Mattie Ruth; three daughters, Jeannie Cooper (Onnie) of Muscle Shoals, and April Williams and Marjorie Howlet, both of Decatur; three sons, Clay Williams (Yolanda) of Town Creek, Marcus Williams (Clarissa) of Muscle Shoals and Tiris Turner (Teresa) of Marietta, Ga.; his mother, Willie Sue White of Town Creek; three sisters, Lizzie Roberson of Queens, N.Y., Maggie Mitchell of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Earnestine Lumpkin (Eugene) of Columbus, Ohio; five brothers, L.V. Robinson (Ruthie) of Town Creek, Thomas Williams (Ann), Paul Williams (Martha) and Woozie Williams, all of Hillsboro, and Lewis Williams (Deborah) of Barstow, Calif.; four sisters-in law, Naydean Coffee and Essie Koger (Ray Dumas), all of Town Creek, Dorothy Williams of Stone Mountain, Ga. and Mary Torrens (Carlos) of Detroit; two brothers-in-law, William Mitchell and Willie Smith Jr., both of Town Creek; nine grandchildren, Julancey, Candice, Brianna, Dierra, Paris, Tay, Justin, Ramsey and C.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
